Something to know about buttercups

BUTTERCUPS BESIDE THE CREEK

Buttercups.  What more is there to say about a picture of buttercups on an early spring day.  I recall from a time when I had not yet been to kindergarten or any of the later educational stages, that a buttercup flower can be used to learn something about a friend.  Pick a buttercup flower and hold it up under the friend's chin, it doesn't really need to be a friend, but it should be someone you know since you need to get close to the person, to hold a buttercup under their chin.  If a golden glow appears on the friend's chin, it means that that person likes butter.  Not that is anything you would want to know but the buttercup can tell you that about someone.
And I recall that there is a character in HMS Pinafore named Buttercup

Stick a fork in it, its done.   Another picture from the University Street Fair (May 21)
